LCD Positioning System
What
is the ideal position for a computer display?
The obvious answer is directly in front of the person who needs to see
what is on the display. For a
patient who is in the semi-reclined position this would be approximately 2 feet
above their waist. Moving a
lightweight flat panel display to this position with the appropriate mounting
equipment is feasible. A bulky CRT
monitor could not be feasibly moved into this position and if it could it would
be quite threatening to the patient.
Our
Multi-View Flat Panel Positioning system provides for positioning the LCD Display directly in front or to the left side of the patient
(assuming practitioner is right handed). It
can be placed far enough out in front of the patient so both the dentist and
assistant or hygienist can easily see the screen as well.
The base of the positioning system can mount on either a chair pole, a
counter, or a wall. A variable
number of 9” extension arms allow the face of the monitor to be located up to
41” away from it’s mounting point.
Planning
on having the patient in the chair for an extended time? Just play an entertaining movie or concert on the Digital
Dental Station DVD player, and position the flat panel above and to the left of
the patient’s head. By glancing
up during your procedure they can be entertained and distracted while you do
your work.
If
there are confidential items that might cause concern you can easily position
the display so it is visible only to your assistant. The support arm includes a pneumatic system that allows for
easy control of the position of the display.
The “telescoping” action provided by the 9” extensions makes it a
simple process to move the display virtually wherever you want it to be.
