CatLinc uses
proven technology to transmit high-resolution computer video signals
over CAT5 cable. CatLinc was designed from the ground up to balance
cost, image quality, and mounting options in todays price sensitive
installation environments.
CatLinc distributes signals up to 300 feet without significant loss
of image quality, even when intermediate patch hardware is used. A
fully active solution, CatLinc eliminates the need for computer video
signal buffers or amplifiers.
Why CAT5? Its inexpensive and common. Its diameter and flexibility
make it the only option in places conventional cable cannot be pulled.
And no more worrying about missing parts after hours computer
and electronics stores commonly stock both pre-made and bulk CAT5
cable.
CatLinc leverages valuable
installation resources by reducing installation time and simplifying
wire termination.
CatLinc transmitters and receivers are small enough to mount anywhere,
and the single power supply can be located at either end. CatLinc
also eliminates the need for BNC-to-VGA breakout cables, simplifying
interconnection where space is at a premium, such as floor boxes,
drawers and podiums.
The bottom line?
CatLinc is a complete
solution at $425 SRP for a transmitter/receiver
pair.
